- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
- Add the egg yolk and mix until the dough forms a ball.
- Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides. Prick the bottom with a fork.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the cooled tart crust.
- Top with fresh mixed berries and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any combination of fresh berries you like.
- The tart can be made a day in advance; just add the berries before serving to keep them fresh.
