- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups fresh rhubarb, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, chopped rhubarb, and granulated sugar. Mix well and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the strawberry-rhubarb mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit mixture, covering it completely.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix. You can also sprinkle cinnamon on top if desired.
- Pour the water evenly over the entire cake mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!

- For a thicker fruit layer, you can use more strawberries and rhubarb.
