Tender and flavorful spare ribs cooked to perfection with a delicious homemade BBQ sauce.

- 2 racks Spare ribs
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the spare ribs, covering both sides.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
- Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the apple cider vinegar with the BBQ sauce.
- Brush the BBQ sauce mixture over the ribs.
- Return the ribs to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
- You can also cook the ribs on a grill for a smoky flavor after baking.
