- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Your favorite BBQ sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil until thoroughly coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Sprinkle the spice mixture over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings on the smoker grate, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Smoke the wings for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- For extra crispy wings, increase the smoker temperature to 375°F (190°C) and smoke for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce.
