Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Once the grill is hot, place the meat balls on the grill or skillet and immediately smash them down with a spatula to about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Season the patties with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms on the bottom.
  6. Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheese on each one.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
  8. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until golden brown.
  9. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite condiments.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or onion powder to the beef before cooking.
