Description
A classic shrimp boil that’s perfect for a gathering or a family dinner. This dish is filled with shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage, all seasoned to perfection.

- 4 quarts water
- 1/2 cup Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 cup salt
- 2 lemons
- 2 pounds small red potatoes
- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 4 ears corn on the cob
- 2 pounds large shrimp
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and lemon halves to a boil.
- Add the potatoes to the pot and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the sliced sausage and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the corn and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Finally, add the shrimp and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the pot from heat and drain the contents.
- Transfer the shrimp boil to a large serving platter or newspaper-covered table.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with extra lemon wedges.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include garlic cloves and onions in the boil.
- Serve with cocktail sauce or melted butter on the side.
