Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) until evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for maximum caramelization.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy. Shake the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Toss to combine.
- If using, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chopped bacon before roasting.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure crispy Brussels sprouts.
- These can be served as a side dish or tossed into salads for added crunch.
