Description

These oven-baked ribs are juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Perfect for a family dinner or a weekend barbecue, this easy recipe ensures that your ribs turn out delicious every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your choice)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
  6. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
  7. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until they are tender.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
  9. Brush your favorite barbecue sauce generously over the ribs.
  10. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  11. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice mix overnight in the refrigerator.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the spice mix.
  • Leftover ribs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
