  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • to taste Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped rhubarb and granulated sugar. Mix well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to release the juices.
  3. Spread the rhubarb mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the rhubarb layer.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Pour the water over the top, but do not stir.
  7. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for added flavor.
