- 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
- 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped (Granny Smith or any tart variety recommended)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped rhubarb, apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, softened butter, and salt until crumbly.
- In a greased baking dish, spread the fruit mixture evenly.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit layer, covering it completely.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
