Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds pork short ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork short ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
- In a large oven-safe skillet or roasting pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, combine BBQ sauce, broth, and apple cider vinegar. Pour the mixture over the ribs.
- Cover the skillet or roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is easily pulled away from the bone.
- Remove from the oven, discard the foil, and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight.
- You can finish the ribs on the grill for a caramelized crust after baking.
