- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the peaches evenly and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter, distributing the peaches evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!
