Description

Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the peach mixture. Do not spread it out completely; it will spread as it bakes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
