Peach Cobbler Easy: 5 Steps to Sweet Summer Bliss

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This easy peach cobbler is a simple yet delicious dessert that highlights the sweetness of fresh peaches with a buttery, golden crust. Perfect for summer gatherings or cozy family dinners!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
  4. Gradually stir in the milk until the batter is smooth. Then, fold in the melted butter.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir; the peaches will sink during baking.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

  • For a twist, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or using fresh berries along with the peaches.
  • This cobbler can be made with frozen peaches as well; just ensure they are thawed and drained before using.
