  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Delicious homemade peach cobbler with a flaky crust and sweet, juicy filling. Perfect for summer gatherings or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until the peaches are well coated. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the 1 cup of flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  4. Pour the batter evenly over the peach mixture in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cobbler comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the peach filling.
  • You can use frozen peaches if fresh ones are not available; just make sure to thaw and drain excess liquid.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat!
