Description
Traditional New England clam bake featuring fresh clams, lobster, corn, and potatoes, all steamed together for a delicious coastal feast.
Ingredients

- 4 quarts water
- 1/2 cup sea salt
- 12 medium clams, scrubbed
- 2 lobsters, about 1 1/2 pounds each
- 4 ears of corn, husked and cut in half
- 6 small red potatoes, halved
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water and 1/2 cup of sea salt to a boil.
- Add the clams to the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the lobsters to the pot, cover, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Stir in the corn and potatoes, cover, and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Carefully transfer everything to a large serving platter.
- Serve with lemon wedges and melted butter, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
- Make sure to scrub the clams thoroughly to remove any sand.
- You can customize your clam bake by adding other seafood such as shrimp or mussels.
- Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
