Description
A juicy beef burger topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, served on a toasted bun.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
- Onion slices, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- During the last minute of cooking the burgers, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Top with sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.
