A delicious and easy dessert featuring fresh mulberries baked with a sweet, crumbly topping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups fresh mulberries, cleaned and stems removed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mulberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss gently to coat the mulberries and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Spread the mulberry mixture in an even layer in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the mulberries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the mulberries are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
- You can substitute mulberries with other berries like blackberries or blueberries if needed.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
