Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup frosting (for decoration)
- Sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the cookie dough into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cookie cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread frosting on top and decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
- For a fun twist, you can add chopped nuts or different types of chocolate chips.
- This cookie cake can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
