Description
Cute, festive, and easy to make treats perfect for Mother’s Day celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
- 1 cup of frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 package of chocolate candy melts (in pink, white, or any desired color)
- Lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles (for decoration)
- Wax paper
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to the package instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl.
- Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined. The mixture should be moist but not overly wet.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
- Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball, making sure it’s inserted halfway through.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set the cake pops.
- Melt the chocolate candy melts according to package instructions.
- Once melted, dip each cake pop into the chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle with decorative sprinkles for a festive touch.
- Place the finished cake pops upright in a foam block or a cup to dry completely.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the cake flavor and frosting to your preference.
- For a smoother finish, tap the cake pop gently after dipping to remove excess chocolate.
- Store cake pops in the refrigerator if not serving immediately.
