Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper to create a rub.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the ribs on the grill or in a baking dish if using the oven. Cover with foil to keep moisture in.
- Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone.
- Remove the foil and brush BBQ sauce over the ribs. Grill for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
- Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce or make your own from scratch.
- These ribs can also be cooked in a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours for an easy alternative.
