Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
  6. Place the wrapped ribs on the grill and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the foil and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
  8. Return the ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sauce is caramelized.
  9. Remove from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight.
  • Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce for glazing the ribs.
  • These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 300°F for the same amount of time if you don’t have a grill.
