- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 cup of BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
- In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped ribs on the grill and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the foil and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- Return the ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sauce is caramelized.
- Remove from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight.
- Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce for glazing the ribs.
- These ribs can also be cooked in the oven at 300°F for the same amount of time if you don’t have a grill.
