Description
These BBQ pulled pork sliders are perfect for feeding a crowd on Memorial Day. Tender, flavorful pulled pork served on soft slider buns with coleslaw makes for a delicious and easy meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
- 12 slider buns
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- 1/2 cup coleslaw dressing
- Pickles for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in a slow cooker and add the BBQ sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the remaining BBQ sauce in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing until well combined.
- To assemble the sliders, place a generous portion of pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with coleslaw, and add the top half of the bun.
- Serve with extra pickles and BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the spice rub.
- These sliders can be made ahead of time and kept warm in a slow cooker until ready to serve.
- Feel free to customize the toppings to include sliced jalapeños or cheese.
