These BBQ pulled pork sliders are perfect for feeding a crowd on Memorial Day. Tender, flavorful pulled pork served on soft slider buns with coleslaw makes for a delicious and easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup coleslaw dressing
  • Pickles for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  2. Place the pork in a slow cooker and add the BBQ sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  3. Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the remaining BBQ sauce in the slow cooker.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing until well combined.
  5. To assemble the sliders, place a generous portion of pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with coleslaw, and add the top half of the bun.
  6. Serve with extra pickles and BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the spice rub.
  • These sliders can be made ahead of time and kept warm in a slow cooker until ready to serve.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings to include sliced jalapeños or cheese.
