Description
Celebrate Memorial Day with these delicious, tender BBQ ribs that are perfect for grilling. They are marinated in a flavorful spice rub and finished with a homemade BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and place them on the grill. Cook for 2 to 2.5 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and discard the foil. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce on both sides.
- Return the ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with more sauce, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
- Remove from the grill and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate ribs with the spice rub overnight in the refrigerator.
- You can also cook these ribs in the oven at 300°F for 2.5 to 3 hours if grilling isn’t an option.
