Lobster Roll: 5 Steps to Pure Culinary Bliss

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A classic New England lobster roll recipe featuring tender lobster meat mixed with a creamy dressing, served in a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 New England-style hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Lettuce leaves for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  3. Split the hot dog buns down the middle, but not all the way through. Place them in the skillet, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.
  4. Remove the buns from the skillet and fill each bun with the lobster mixture.
  5. Serve the lobster rolls on a bed of lettuce leaves and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add diced celery or a dash of Old Bay seasoning to the lobster mixture.
  • Make sure to use fresh lobster meat for the best flavor.
  • You can also serve the lobster roll with a squeeze of lemon on top.
