  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the egg yolk and ice water until the dough comes together. Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  4. Bake the crust for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
  6. Stir in heavy cream until fully combined.
  7. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for another 20-25 minutes or until the filling is set.
  8. Allow the tart to cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
