Ingredients

  • 4 lemons (freshly squeezed for maximum flavor)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 2 cups water (for the syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest (for added flavor)
  • a pinch salt (to enhance the flavors)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Once the syrup has cooled, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
  4. Every 30 minutes, use a fork to scrape and stir the mixture until it’s fully frozen and has a fluffy texture. This should take about 3-4 hours.
  5. Once ready, scoop the lemon sorbet into bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing treat!

  • For a creamier texture, you can blend the sorbet after it has frozen for a few hours and then refreeze it for an additional hour.
