Ingredients

- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
