- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, prepare the dip by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard in a bowl.
- Serve the crispy fries hot with the dip on the side and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking, then pat dry.
