- 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large Egg yolks
- 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk
- 3/4 cup Key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon Lime zest
- for serving Whipped cream
- for garnish Key lime slices
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until well combined.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly firm. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before serving.
- Serve with whipped cream and garnish with key lime slices.
Notes
- Use fresh key limes for the best flavor.
- Make sure to let the pie cool completely before refrigerating.
- This pie can be made a day in advance for easy serving.
