Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup Key lime juice
  • 3 large Egg yolks
  • for topping Whipped cream
  • for garnish Lime zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Bake the crust for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and egg yolks until smooth.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake the pie for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
  8. Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  9. Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with lime zest.

Notes

  • For a more intense lime flavor, use fresh key limes if available.
  • Make sure to fully cool the pie before refrigerating to ensure the filling sets properly.
