  • 8 slices of cooked turkey or roasted chicken
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute to create a roux.
  3. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the bread slices to form a base. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the bread.
  6. Layer the turkey or chicken slices on top, followed by the remaining cheese sauce. Add chopped bacon and tomato slices on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the turkey with ham or other cooked meats as desired.
