Description
This grilled homemade cheeseburger is juicy, flavorful, and easy to make, perfect for summer barbecues or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them and place a slice of cheese on top. Grill for another 4-5 minutes, or until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are grilling, toast the burger buns on the grill until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your favorite toppings.
- Serve immediately with ketchup and mustard.
Notes
- For best results, let the ground beef sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before shaping into patties.
- Feel free to customize your toppings with avocado, bacon, or BBQ sauce.
- Make sure the grill is preheated to ensure a good sear on the burgers.
