  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This grilled homemade cheeseburger is juicy, flavorful, and easy to make, perfect for summer barbecues or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  4. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them and place a slice of cheese on top. Grill for another 4-5 minutes, or until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are grilling, toast the burger buns on the grill until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your favorite toppings.
  7. Serve immediately with ketchup and mustard.

Notes

  • For best results, let the ground beef sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before shaping into patties.
  • Feel free to customize your toppings with avocado, bacon, or BBQ sauce.
  • Make sure the grill is preheated to ensure a good sear on the burgers.
