- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Add lime juice, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the bowl.
- Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocado mixture to your desired consistency.
- Fold in the diced onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
- To prevent browning, store guacamole in an airtight container and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before sealing.
- Feel free to customize with additional ingredients like diced mango, corn, or different spices.
