Description

These grilled shrimp skewers are marinated in a flavorful mix of garlic, lemon, and herbs, then grilled to perfection. Perfect for a summer barbecue or a quick weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, tossing to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
  6. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro to the marinade.
  • Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
