Fried Chicken Wings – 7 Secrets to Juicy Perfection

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These fried chicken wings are perfectly golden, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. A perfect snack or appetizer for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Toss the wings in the flour mixture until well coated. Shake off excess flour.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove the wings and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-dip the wings by dipping them in flour, then back in a mixture of beaten eggs, and then in flour again before frying.
  • Let the oil return to temperature between batches for the best results.
