  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dredge fish in the flour mixture, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with cornmeal.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry fish until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Warm tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  5. Assemble tacos by placing a piece of fried fish in each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and cilantro.
  6. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, lime juice, and hot sauce if using. Drizzle over the tacos.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
