Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted, optional)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking.
- In a large bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and baking powder.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the spice mixture.
- If baking, place the wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- If frying, heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry the wings in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, mix the hot sauce and melted butter if using. Toss the cooked wings in the sauce for added flavor.
- Serve hot and enjoy your crispy chicken wings!
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, consider air drying them in the refrigerator for a few hours before cooking.
- Feel free to adjust the spices to your taste or try different sauces for tossing.
- These wings can also be baked or grilled for a healthier option.
