Description
A delicious and juicy classic burger that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
- Ketchup and mustard for condiments
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and cook for another 3 minutes. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom buns and adding your desired toppings and condiments.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your classic burger!
