Description

A delicious and juicy classic burger that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Ketchup and mustard for condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties and cook for another 3 minutes. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom buns and adding your desired toppings and condiments.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your classic burger!
