Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

- Divide the batter into three bowls. Use food coloring to dye one bowl red, one bowl green, and leave one bowl plain.
- Spoon the colored batters into the prepared pans, alternating colors for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, frost the cakes with buttercream frosting. Decorate with fresh fruit and edible flowers as desired.
