Deliciously crispy and sweet churros, perfect for dipping in chocolate sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar for coating
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
- Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped tip.
- Heat oil for frying in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe 4-6 inch lengths of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove churros from oil and drain on paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Roll churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture while still warm.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce for dipping.
