- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined and the sugar is dissolved.
- If using, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve the chocolate ice cream in bowls or cones, and enjoy!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can use dark cocoa powder.
- If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze. Stir every 30 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
