  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (for tossing)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted, for tossing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet to allow for even cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, making sure they are not touching each other.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the wings are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  5. While the wings are baking, mix the hot sauce and melted butter in a small bowl.
  6. Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them in the hot sauce mixture until well coated.
