- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add 1 cup sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Add sour cream and flour, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- For a flavored cheesecake, add lemon juice or chocolate to the filling.
- Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother batter.
- Avoid overbaking to prevent cracks.
