Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup hot sauce (your favorite brand)
- 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s well coated, then place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the cauliflower wings in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
- While the cauliflower is baking, mix the hot sauce and melted vegan butter in a bowl.
- After 20 minutes, remove the cauliflower from the oven and toss it in the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated.
- Return the coated cauliflower wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until crispy.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can double coat the cauliflower by dipping it back into the batter and then baking again.
- Feel free to adjust the level of spiciness by using a milder or hotter hot sauce.
- These wings pair well with vegan ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
