  • Total Time: 40
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Toss to combine.
  6. If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped nuts over the Brussels sprouts.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese and toast the nuts.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your crispy, caramelized Brussels sprouts!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, make sure the Brussels sprouts are not crowded on the baking sheet.
  • Feel free to add garlic or red pepper flakes for added flavor.
  • These Brussels sprouts can be served as a side dish or a delicious snack!
