- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Toss to combine.
- If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped nuts over the Brussels sprouts.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese and toast the nuts.
- Serve warm and enjoy your crispy, caramelized Brussels sprouts!

- For extra crispiness, make sure the Brussels sprouts are not crowded on the baking sheet.
- Feel free to add garlic or red pepper flakes for added flavor.
