Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of bread (white or whole grain)
  • 2 large lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  4. Layer the lettuce leaves on two of the slices of bread, followed by the tomato slices. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo side down.
  7. Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
