Description

A delicious and classic BLT sandwich made with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and mayonnaise, all sandwiched between toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of crispy bacon
  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 leaves of romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain.
  2. While the bacon is cooking, toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispiness.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise onto one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  4. On two of the slices, layer the lettuce leaves, followed by the tomato slices. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the crispy bacon evenly over the tomatoes.
  6. Top with the other slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  7. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to add avocado or cheese for extra flavor.
  • For a healthier option, use turkey bacon or a low-calorie mayonnaise.
