Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pounds beef ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar.
- Rub the mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the seared ribs to a baking dish. Pour beef broth into the bottom of the dish.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and uncover. Brush barbecue sauce over the ribs.
- Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
- Serve with your favorite sides like coleslaw or cornbread.
