  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the seared ribs to a baking dish. Pour beef broth into the bottom of the dish.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and uncover. Brush barbecue sauce over the ribs.
  9. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  10. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
