- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and beef broth to the skillet. Cover and steam for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet, stir to combine, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of sesame oil before serving.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
